More Flood Pictures

A few more pictures of our once in a lifetime flood (we hope)! This is the Yelverton Dance Studio. I won that award a couple of month's ago for designing their costumes.
This is the road I need to travel to get across the river to my store. Do ya know how Emergency Officials tell you not to cross standing water...LOL...This guy didn't listen! At the sametime in the background that you can't see, a car was floating up Court street!
This is a section of the Binghamton flood wall that was holding up pretty well to the onslaught of the river!
And this section of the flood wall was being a little overwhelmed. All in all it looks like, for the most part, the flood wall system for the city will keep the Susquehanna and Chenango Rivers at bay!

Lawd. Now that is something else! Are you all right? Were all the costumes that you made destroyed? Oh my. I'm not even going to ask about your place... Umph. God bless y'all. I didn't know it made it up that far...

And the costumes all go home with the people that they are for. But the studio is a loss AGAIN...This happened a few years ago...but not this bad!

That's awfull Bonnie, I'm so glad your house is ok. I hope your church didn't get to much damage and those poor people who lost everything get some financial help.

Flooding is about the dirtiest of all disasters.
    Hardest to clean up after.

Well Bonnie, the blog's back up, but it still loads weird for me! Though that sounds like a minor inconvenience compared to what those pictures depict! Woah!

Vanda thanks...our big town Binghamton isn't too bad but the little bedroom community, Conklin, that my store is in is still in a state of emergency and closed...it was a mandatory evacuation!

    Amen Bernita and Jel.

    I will Ric!

Mimi and Curm the last time it wasn't even this bad it cost her $92,000 to replace the studio, and that water disappated over night!

Sandra, if you load in IE it should be fine, but Firefox/Mozella gives it fits!

Tina, Kevin...paisano! Tina you're a little ways away...but Kevin, I'm up above Cole Park, If I cut across to Sanitaria Spring and take 88...tada...in your back yard in ten minutes! Isn't this wild!

Yeah, as I would've said as a lad growing up in the 80's pretty gnarly...

Luckily, where I live it's pretty high, but there is just water, water everywhere...my wife works at Wilson, and the other night Lourdes was evacuated, all the patients sent to Wilson, and she had to work a double shift.
