My Heart Is Heavy

My beloved lady Briea had to be put to sleep today. She had an infection that only an operation would help, and she was too old to survive the surgery.


She was a very good dog!

    I'm so sorry! I think I know how you feel. We had to put our dear 14 yo Westie, Abigail, to sleep last year and it devasted me. My deepest sympathy to you for your loss.

    Thank you Kimberli. I truly understand your pain. The helplessness came from the feeling that I let her down...that I couldn't fix what was wrong with her.

    At the end, it was just me and her together, and she very peacefully, just went to sleep.

    I'm the one that brought her home for the first time, and I'm the one that brought her home for the last time. So we completed the circle.

    Very sorry to hear it. I still remember having to put our dog to sleep and the pain we all went through. Its really sad, but keep your thoughts on the fond memories.
