Excuse my rantings, but I am tired of having everything 'christian' obliterated so as to not offend others.
We as Christians, have not tried to change the name of Hanukkah, or Ramaddan, or Kwanza or any other holiday for that matter. Could you imagine the worldwide outcry if we tried.
So then, why is it that people think they can change Christmas to make it all inclusive.
It is not all inclusive. It is the day we choose as a celebration of our Lord and Savior's birth....Jesus!
To all those celebrating the day...Merry Christmas!
For the rest, that are offended by it...Merry Christmas!

I was in Wal-Mart today and the cashier wished me a "Happy Holiday," to which, having had it up to here with the "Happy Holidays," I responded, "Merry Christmas. Remember, if it were not for Christmas, Wal-mart would not be earning enough to pay you."
I tried to sound sweet....
Happy CHRISTMAS, Bonnie!
Yes, it's a Christmas tree, but it certainly isn't original to the holiday.
And what on earth is wrong with "Happy Holidays" when there ARE many other holidays around this time of year. To me, we aren't trying to take away from Christians, but bring in other cultures. And I'm all for that.
That is the day that we commemorate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
You are welcome to celebrate any and all of the holidays that you wish.
I wish my jewish friends a Happy Hanukkah. I wish my muslim friends a happy Ramadaan. And those of my black friends who celebrate Kwanza, I wish them a happy Kwanza.
By the way, none of those celebrations involve a CHRISTMAS tree.
Did you notice that none of those mentioned have been asked to give up the name of their celebration and just call it a holiday?
I challenge you to try it...tell the jews, the muslim, or black people that they're intolerant for having a specific name for their celebration and not including others in their holiday.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, and good luck 'cause you're going to need it!
In the meantime, on December 25th, I'm celebrating CHRISTMAS....MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Merry CHRISTmas, Bonnie!
It's Christmas?
